President's Message

Brethren:

Our next meeting will be on May 24, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. There will be a coffee & donuts at 7:15 a.m.

Brethren,

What a nice turnout for our April FMA's meeting. I hope that you all enjoyed Mrs. Barnett's program on the Grand Lodge's history as well as the Right Worshipful Allen Earl Roberts Memorial Library. I am sorry that we could not get the sound system to work any better than we did, but I think everyone was able to hear well enough. I have received a thank you letter from the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Commonwealth of Virginia thanking the members of the Fraternal Masonic Association of the 15th Districts for the donation that we made in honor of Mrs. Barnett after her presentation.

I hope that you all will remember to come out and support our Junior Warden's on the 21st of May as they will be conferring the Master Mason's degree. I know that they have all been working very hard to put on this degree with as few mistakes as possible. Let's all come out and root them on as they strive for perfection. Before the degree the DEO's of the 15th districts will put on an educational program at 6:00 P.M.. These DEO sessions have been very enlightening and the work that these Brethren have put into these presentations has been extensive. It will be your loss if you are not able to attend.

At our May meeting we will try to be supporting another of our Grand Master's projects - The Blood Program. You Brethren have in the past been most generous with the "Gift of Life," and that's exactly what it is. A product that only God can manufacture and he has given us the ability to make more of our own to replace that which is given. A product that not only can but does save countless lives each day. I certainly hope that all who can donate blood will do so - someone will be having a blood drive soon in the area, please participate if you are able. We will be honored to have as our speaker for May Mr. Brian Chandler with the Richmond Metropolitan Blood Service to give us a "Pep Rally" so that we can all be fired up and go out and donate.

Our meeting this month will be on the 24th of May and will be at 9:00 A.M., there will be NO breakfast as the Eastern Star Ladies will be otherwise engaged on that morning. So we have requested Rt. Wor. Clarence Whitley to prepare coffee and donuts for us at 7:15 A.M. and he has graciously agreed to do this for us. As you come in and enjoy your coffee and donuts please do not forget to thank Rt. Wor. Bro. Whitley for getting up early and seeing to it that you have been provided for.

As usual your District Deputy Grand Masters will be waiting to greet you on the 24th.

Fraternally,
Rt. Wor. C. Thomas Fifer President
