President's Message
Brethren:
Our next meeting will be on February 27, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.at Westhampton Masonic Temple. Breakfast at 8:00 a.m.
Brethren,
What a grand turnout for our January meeting of Masters & Wardens!! For our first meeting at Westhampton Lodge No. 302, we enjoyed fellowship with over 80 Brethren and ALL of our Lodges in the 15th Masonic District were represented. More than 60 of us enjoyed a fantastic breakfast prepared by Brother Bruce Morris and Wor. Brother Ron Jackson of St. John’s No. 36 and we had so many that we ran out of food. This will not occur in the future as we now know how many to prepare for. The cost is $5.00 and you cannot get a better breakfast and certainly not as good of fellowship as we all enjoyed. If you did not eat at this meeting please don’t miss out next month.
We accomplished a great deal, we appointed a District Advisory Committee, consisting of Rt. Wor. Brother’s Al Dranoff, Barrye Absher, Guy Blankenship, Charles Sarbaugh and Wor. Brother Ray Lindquist to serve terms that are not consecutive in order to keep from having to replace all at once. This will be of great benefit in providing consistency to Masters & Wardens and will greatly benefit the newly elected District Deputy Grand Masters each year.
There were over fourteen (14) 2010 Worshipful Masters and we enjoyed having seven (7) of our 2010 Junior Deacons present. The Junior Deacons and their sponsor, Worshipful Bill Heltzel remained in the Lodge Room and began working towards exemplifying the E.A. Degree which will be performed in March. The Worshipful Masters met in the kitchen with Rt. Wor. Guy Blankenship and Wor. Ray Lindquist and they too enjoyed a very good meeting. It was decided that the Senior Wardens will be invited to participate with this group at our February Meeting and for those thereafter. Much was discussed on how to plan the year, revitalization of the Lodges, etc... A different topic will be discussed at each monthly meeting and the floor is open for discussion of problems and hopefully some recommendations for sound solutions.
Brethren, I am proud and thankful for each of you who attended and I look forward to being with you at our February 27th meeting.
COME EARLY AND ENJOY THE COMPANY!
Remember my Brethren,
“What concerns everyone...
can only be resolved by everyone”!!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Rt. Wor. V. Stuart Cook,
President
