President's Message

Brethren:

Our next meeting will be on March 27, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.at Westhampton Masonic Temple. Breakfast at 8:00 a.m.

Brethren,

We enjoyed another great turnout for our February meeting of your Master’s & Warden’s Association. Over 70 Brethren attended and most everyone who came enjoyed the delicious breakfast and wonderful fellowship. I heard a few tall tales being told and listened to the laughter and good fun had by all who came out. For those of you who decided that you would “just skip the meeting”, you missed a good time and some very informative discussions during our time together.

The Junior Deacons again worked on their respective parts for the Exemplification of the Entered Aprrentice Degree which will be performed on March 17th at the Scottish Rite Temple. Our District Education Officers will be presenting a very informative educational program beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by our D.I.W.’s and the Junior Deacons putting on the E.A. Degree. Please turn out for both and I urge you to bring all of your Brethren with you, from the youngest Entered Apprentice to the most Senior Master Mason. I can promise you that everyone in attendance will learn at least ONE Thing.

Our 2010 Worshipful Master’s and Senior Wardens enjoyed a good meeting and a lively discussion was had in reference to how to bring out more of our Brethren and to get better participation. A timely topic and as you can see from the tone of my message, this is a growing problem for all of our Lodges. Each of us should ask ourselves, “Why did I become a Mason?” and then get off of our couches and come out to support YOUR GENTLE CRAFT! You Line Officers should especially remember your Obligations and attend with your counterparts!!

The 2010 Directory was passed out and I request each of you to remember to personally THANK Worshipful Tom Wadkins and Rt. Wor. Charles Sarbaugh for their total commitment to this project. They took this on at the very last possible minute and because of their diligence and time consuming efforts, we have the 2010 Directory in our hands. Many Thanks to each of you!!

At this month’s meeting we will be voting on some changes to the by-law’s you must be present to participate and have your opportunity to vote, we will also be working with our Senior Deacons and assisting them in preparing for their Exemplification of the Fellowcraft Degree. The Worshipful Masters and Senior Wardens will continue their meeting and discussion of how to revitalize their Lodges.

Please come out and participate, you are missed and needed.

Sincerely and Fraternally,
Rt. Wor. V. Stuart Cook, President
